Creative Colour Workshop
May 1st in aid of ASET

Sarah Turner’s invitation colour event focused on how colour works in art (and life) and how to make colours ‘serve’ each other.

Using examples as diverse as Constable, Rothko and Bernard Dunstan, we looked at how a complex grey mixed of colours such as ultramarine and burnt sienna can act as counterpoint to small touches of a bright colour, like a sunset over a grey sea.

Those who attended each did their own Rothko/Constable (!) in acrylic and most were pretty pleased with their efforts!
