Biography
Alison was born in St Albans in 1953, from the illustrious Kennedy family of painters; her grandfather a well-known illustrator, and her great uncle (for whom she had great affection) the successful flower painter Cecil Kennedy. Trained at St Albans School of art, Ali then pursued a career in music, singing and music therapy before returning to art in the 1980s. Beginning with watercolour flowers (exhibited Cambridge 1983-4), she began large abstracts in the 1990s which have developed with the new studio space, and are represented in several local collections.
